Welcome! After teaching in Houston ISD for 14 years and completing my master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Houston – Clear Lake, I would be a great match if you are looking for someone who is down to earth and ready to get to work.
While I mirror your mood, I absolutely will give you my input and direction to take your life into your own hands to feel healthier and overall less stressed. I am very much a straight-shooter and I will never use those mysterious silences or ask "how do you feel about this?". I can't stand that. What about you?
While I am intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), I have pivoted away from high acuity clients and will refer out clients that meet this criteria so they benefit from a support team, skills group, and round-the-clock phone support.
I will utilize my DBT knowledge in our sessions and give you the coping skills that you need to take charge of your life and feel better. I am bound to ruffle a few feathers, and challenging you is how we build a stronger alliance and get you where you want to be.
Tina is a mix of Great Dane, Mastiff, Labrador, Pit Bull, and Doberman—yet she comes in the perfect "pocket size" of 60 lbs! She loves to keep me company, and while I am at work in my office, she is hard at work in her "office." On occasion, she may have a comment that she feels is important to share; she basically speaks Wookkiee and has learned her role in the important work we do.
